Doing their part to care for environment and give motorists a greener expressway, Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) partnered with PLDT in planting 300 seedlings of Bougainvillea and Lantana plants in the Manila – Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) Aguinaldo Boulevard, Parañaque City.
MPTC Group Chief Finance Officer and CIC COO Christopher Lizo awarded a plaque of appreciation to PLDT Community Relations Head Katherine Diaz–de Rivera formalizing the partnership followed by the planting activity.
“We are grateful to PLDT for the support and their time for being with us in this initiative. We continue to perform activities that help preserve the environment. Big or small, every effort counts for mother nature. Also, plants help beat stress, by giving our motorists a pleasant environment, their driving will be stress-free, and safe on CAVITEX.” said Lizo.
“PLDT champions volunteerism and partnerships to support greening projects and regenerate natural resources. We are glad to be part of Cavitex’s efforts in greening their expressway.” Said Diaz-de Rivera.
Bougainvillea and Lantana are sturdy and decorative plants, which contribute to a cleaner air and serves as a natural fence of the expressway. Aside from planting, Cavitex partners with various stakeholders to conduct other corporate social responsibility activities. Last September, Cavitex participated in the annual International Coastal Cleanup held at LPPCHEA in Parañaque City.
