The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) eyes the approval of the CAVITEX C5 Link Flyover toll rates authorizing the toll way company to collect fees effective September 2019.
Under the new toll fare matrix to be released by TRB, Class 1 vehicles (ordinary cars) plying Fort Bonifacio, C.P. Garcia (C5), Taguig City, Parañaque City, Las Piñas City and Pasay City will be charged P22. Class 2 vehicles (buses and small trucks) will pay P44 and Class 3 vehicles (large trucks/trailers) will pay P66.
This is following a month after the 2.2-kilometer, six-lane expressway was opened to the public on July 23, 2019.
It is the first section of the CAVITEX C5 Southlink crossing South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) traversing Taguig and Pasay City and the second road development of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) following the completion of NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 in February, the same year.
The opening of CAVITEX C5 Link Flyover translated to a new route of entry and exit ways decongesting major chokepoints during peak hours in Sales interchange near Villamor Airbase, SLEX East, West Service Roads and EDSA.
For now, motorists are encouraged to use the new flyover while it’s still free of charge.
