“Reloading is made convenient with all these accessible establishments all over Metro Manila and Luzon. We have partnered with them to make reloading stations easy to find and encourage all expressway users to keep their accounts updated to ensure ease of passage through our toll plazas,” said Mr. Roberto V. Bontia, Chief Technology Officer of MPTC, President and General Manager of Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South).
Aside from physically going to these establishments to reload, subscribers also have the option of reloading via the internet thru Easytrip’s online partners like Gcash, Paymaya, EON, Bayad Center App (Bayad), coins.ph, justpay.to which also credits real-time; and thru banks such as Metrobank, BDO, UCPB, and BPI (BancNet, Mastercard, or Visa). Convenience fees of these options vary. Also, customer service sites at the various entry and before exits of the toll roads offer reloading services aside from RFID sticker installation.
“We are aware that motorists have different behaviors when transacting, some prefer going to physical stores or their banks, while others prefer doing it online. With this in mind, we make sure that we cater to everyone’s level of comfort in keeping their account up to date,” Mr. Bontia added.
Easytrip RFID is interoperable across the MPTC network of toll roads: North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX); and in South: Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), CAVITEX C-5 Link Expressway, and Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX).
