With the Vision of having a Safe, Clean and Green Tollways, MPT South held last February 9 its annual Tree Growing Activity, with Philippine Air Force and Volunteer Employees of South Tollways (VEST) as main partners for this CSR Project.
With the assistance of Mr. Ronald Apines, Facilitator of Cavitex Mangrove Park, the volunteers planted a total of 600 Camachile seedlings along the toe slope of Cavitex South Bound Toll Plaza (KM 11+700). These seedlings are set to become our natural barriers once they’ve become fully grown trees.

“We are very honored to partner once again with Cavitex, and they get to share their advocacy with us. We will never get tired of extending our support to programs like this because not only us will benefit from this simple act of planting seedlings, but the future generation as well,” said PAF 1st Lt. Daniel Bassig of Philippine Air Force.

Also, members of Volunteer Employees of South Tollways (VEST) spent their rest day in doing their part in saving the environment. For Leziel Bandiola from QESH Department, activities like this helps people to widen their understanding on the importance of giving back to nature and spending at least a portion of our time to do something that would benefit our community. Aside from VEST, members of MIB and Turnpike also extended their utmost support for this environmental cause.
